On Monday, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a scion in the US political circuit right now, announced that he is leaving the Democratic nomination to become President. He informed his audience in Philadephia outside the National Constitution Center that he does not support left-right division.
The dynamics of the 2024 election will change if things continue taking a turn. Mr. Kennedy Jr. has announced that he will run as an independent candidate for President of the United States.
The nephew of Former President of the United States, John F. Kennedy, also called President Biden an incumbent president. He informed his supporters that he might be running independently because the democrats are worried about him being a competition to President Biden.
He has often claimed that the current presidency has been “hijacking the party machinery,” thus creating challenges for Mr. Kennedy. In public appearances and interviews, he has openly stated that the Democratic party has become corrupted and abandoned its principles.
However, it will be an uphill battle if he runs for the presidency as an independent candidate across all 50 states in America. Further, with his conspiracy theories and bad-mouthing the party, Mr. Kennedy alienated his family.
Joseph P. Kennedy II, Rory Kennedy, Kathleen Kennedy Townsend, and Kerry Kennedy stated that they did not believe in Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and denounced his candidacy because they thought it to be difficult for the nation.
They also informed how they share the same name as their father, but Bobby (Robert F. Kennedy Jr.) shares a different vision, value, or judgment. A gap in family integration and weight made it further difficult for Mr. Kennedy to rise to the ranks and seize power.
Mr. Kennedy is well known for his conspiracy theories regarding handling coronavirus, lockdowns, social distancing, and vaccine policies. As an environmental lawyer, he has consistently raised his voice against state public health measures and entertained anti-vaccine sentiments.
