After many years, the FBI finally identified the Zodiac killer a few years back. He was Gary Francis Poste, an air force veteran.
Thomas Colbert, a journalist, said that Poste’s connection to his crimes was established through a partial DNA sample.
Poste died in 2018 at the age of 80 and the FBI was too late to catch him.
