Prince Harry Files A Case Against RAVEC Regarding His UK Security Being Stripped!

Hostility between Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, and the paparazzi in the UK started when his mother died in a car wreck in 1997! The incident has left a deep mark on the prince, which he still suffers, but now with the safety and security of his wife and children.

From this concern, he has filed a case against the Royal and VIP Executive Committee, also known as RAVEC, which decides on the security provided to him when he visits the UK. Harry has claimed that the committee did not even listen to his request for security and unfairly rejected it.

The prince has later learned that the committee includes a certain member of the royal household staff, namely Edward Young, who influenced the decision not to give security to Harry or his family when they are in the UK! Young was been the assistant private secretary to the late Queen Elizabeth II.

According to the government lawyers, it is a “case by case” basis in the RAVEC now that the prince has relinquished his role to serve as a working royal family member! They are entitled to their decision, which is not dependent on any personality tension between Harry and the royal family and staff!

The prince has challenged their decision based on him attending an event, specifically in June 2021, where photographers chased him. The event was at the Kew Gardens in West London, where seriously ill children were present. He highlighted his affair along with others where he felt he was not safe, and neither was his family!

His lawyers presented arguments such as Prince Harry’s status, profile, and background within the Royal family that do not go away even with him even though he left the security position. RAVEC was highlighted as someone who needed to do a recce or a risk analysis of the conditions of the Duke.
